The Government of Himachal Pradesh on August 14, 2026, issued Draft amendments to the Municipal Council Dehra (Property Taxation) Bye-Laws of 2022.
The following has been stated: -
•The Municipal Council Dehra has issued a public notice proposing amendments to its Property Taxation Bye-Laws of 2022 following resolution no. 515(B) passed on July 30, 2026.
•Under the new proposal, the non-residential occupancy values previously assigned to Use Factor (F5) are shifted to Occupancy Factor (F4).
•Specifically, within the F4 category, non-residential sub-categories C and D have been revised to values of 4.5 and 4, respectively, while the values for categories A, B, and E remain unchanged.
•Additionally, the F5 Use Factor for non-residential occupancy is simplified to a single value of 3.5, replacing the earlier detailed table structure.
•Members of the public who wish to submit objections or suggestions regarding these changes can send them in writing to the Executive Officer of MC Dehra within 15 days.
